He described the clip of the pair in a tuk tuk as ‘frankly insulting’

Nigel Farage has blasted Doncaster MPs Ed Miliband and John Healey over a video of them taking a tuk tuk ride through Bangkok, accusing them of “eating snacks and flirting with women.”

The Reform UK branded the pair “cringe making” over the clip, filmed in Thailand where the pair have been in the country for meetings of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank.

Doncaster North MP Mr Miliband, who is also Foreign Secretary and Mr Healey, who repesents Rawmarsh and Conisbrough and is Chancellor, were filmed joking as they travelled through the city’s streets.

Sharing the clip, Mr Farage said: “Instead of fixing Britain, Miliband and Healey would rather swan around Bangkok while eating snacks and flirting with women.

“Meanwhile, another illegal migrant has just been jailed for a sex attack, the price of diesel has hit £2 and we're living under the highest tax burden since WW2.

“It's frankly insulting.

“Let me be crystal clear. My ministers will not spend their time on rubbish like this.

“They will focus entirely on our mission to save this country within 100 days of government.”

Later on GB News he described the pair as"cringe-making" and added: "Political figures pretending to be cool kids in Bangkok? It is absolutely... well, I think it's cringe making.

"The way Miliband comes across, he just I mean, that's not how people behave and talk, is it? Shouldn't politicians and public figures just be as they are?"

The clip, posted on social media with upbeat music, shows the two Cabinet ministers riding the three-wheeled vehicle popular with tourists to Thailand and trying local foods.

In it, the pair describe the snacks as “better than scampi fries” and “arguably better than pork scratchings”.

Mr Miliband also jokes: “Eating on camera has not been my forte, John, but I’m going to have a go.”, in apparent reference to a famous photo of him with a bacon sandwich.
