The Sand House was a feature of Doncaster’s past which was well known to some of Matthew’s ancestors, who lived just a stone’s throw from it. He has maintained his interest in the town’s history, although he now resides in London. When he offered to perform in aid of The Sand House Charity, the charity’s trustees were delighted to accept. Chairman of Trustees, Richard Bell, said “We are honoured that such a prominent and talented musician as Matthew has chosen to support the work of our charity. His recital will be wonderful and will be enhanced by taking place in such historic surroundings. We are truly grateful to Matthew.”

The Matthew Schellhorn piano recital takes place at Doncaster Mansion House, starting at 2.30pm.

Tickets are £14 per person, including interval refreshments. Tickets may be purchased from Doncaster Tourist Information Centre, 1 Priory Place (next door to the Mansion House), Doncaster DN1 1BN. Email [email protected] or call 01302 734309 for further details.
