Music in the park at Normanby Hall
Take in the sounds at Normanby Hall Country Park this summer with '˜Music in the Park' showcasing local bands every weekend.
The popular Music in the Park event is returning this year with local bands entertaining visitors until 2 September.
The line-up for this year is 12 August – Markham Main Colliery Band, 19 August – Woodhouse Prize Band, 26 August – Lincolnshire Hospital Band, 2 September – East Riding of Yorkshire Brass Band
The bands will be performing between 1.30pm and 4.30pm.
Bring your family and friends to enjoy an afternoon in the park listening to music. You could even bring a picnic with you and explore all that Normanby Hall has to offer.
Councillor Elaine Marper, cabinet member for Public Participation and Culture, said: “Music in the Park has been running at Normanby Hall Country Park for many years now and is a great opportunity to showcase local talent. You’ll be able to sit back and relax listening to the bands playing a range of music.
“In addition to the Music in the Park, there will be lots of other things happening throughout the summer including the petting farm, new play areas, Go Ape and fun-filled activities.”
The venue is looking forward to its busiest Summer yet after an investment of £225,000, saw the old play areas transformed into a bright and fun space for kids to enjoy. Councillor Rob Waltham, leader of North Lincolnshire Council, said: “The two new play areas are a great addition to the Park and will provide hours of fun, imaginative play for children.
“This forms part of our plan to continue to improve the facilities at Normanby Hall Country Park
“The region’s first Go Ape tree-top adventure opened in the Park in March and we have since appointed a new caterer who is keen to offer visitors more exclusive dining experiences in the Hall and Park.”
