The works are part of an ongoing two year scheme to improve the A630 West Moor Link road which connects junction 4 of the M18 to Edenthorpe.
The scheme aims to improve journey times on the A630/A18 corridor by replacing the A18 Thorne Rd railway over bridge with a 'widened and deepened prefabricated bridge' as well as alterations to Thorne Road itself, including widening of the route and alterations to roundabouts.
From Sunday 8 March through to the end of June 2020 the road will reopen but the road will be single lane in both directions as the work progresses.

There will be signposted diversions in place during the week long closure and people are asked to allow more time to complete their journeys as there could be congestion on the roads.
Roadworks on Armthorpe Road on the entry to Armthorpe are being lifted during the duration of the work in a bid to minimise disruption for motorists in other parts of the town.
As soon as the piling works is completed, Doncaster Council will reopen the road.
