The landmark church has landed a huge cash boost
A landmark Doncaster church has been handed a £450,000 boost for essential roof repairs.
All Saints Church in Woodlands, which is known for its distinctive red brick work and towering spire, has been handed the cash as part of the Government’s Places of Worship Renewal Fund.

A spokesperson said: “We are absolutely delighted to announce that we have been awarded a grant of over £450k from the Places of Worship Renewal Fund to repair the remaining half of the roof at All Saints Church.
“After a very short timescale on the tender process and with many thanks to our architects Mark and Lucy Pearce and to Martin Brooks Roofers for their support in preparing the bid we have been awarded the grant.

“This completes the work started in 2017 to replace the failing roof and ensure All Saints is active at the heart of this communty for another hundred years.
“Now to our vision which says Door that are Open, Hearts that Love, Faith that Shines, we can add rooves that will be mended.
“Huge thanks to the team at Heritage England for their hard work and for choosing us.”
