Lamp-post poppies return across Doncaster in countdown to Remembrance

Hundreds of poppies have been attached to lamp-posts across Doncaster in the run-up to Remembrance events in the city.
The colourful flowers have been springing up in streets in villages across the city in recent days as the city counts down to this year’s Remembrance period.
A number of parades and events will be staged across Doncaster in November, with the main focus being on the annual Remembrance parade at the War Memorial in Bennetthorpe on Remembrance Sunday.
City of Doncaster Council will be announcing details of this year’s Remembrance events closer to the time.
