Labour Party success in Doncaster by-election

Labour Party candidate Andrea Robinson reaped success in the Edenthorpe and Kirk Sandall by-election which took place on Thursday.

Conservative Party candidate Martin Damian Greenhalgh was in third place with 268 and Liberal Democrat Stephen Neil Porter was fourth with 202 votes.

There were 13 ballot papers that were rejected in total, five due to the voter casting more than one vote, and eight papers which were unmarked or wholly void for uncertainty.

The election saw a 32.96 per cent turnout.
