The event was free to attend, and will be a chance to see a truly global event come to Doncaster. It comes after three years of successful Jet Ski Championships have been held at Lakeside, with the event growing in size year on year.

More than 120 riders from throughout Europe as well as Australia, America, Thailand and the UAE are expected to be competing. The event will feature home town favourite Brad Rickaby as well as the cream of riders from Europe and further afield.

Cabinet member for Business, Skills, Tourism and Culture, Councillor Bill Mordue, said: “It’s great that Doncaster is hosting an event of this magnitude.”
