Items found in a Doncaster skip could be worth up to £1,500

Items found in a Doncaster skip are going under the hammer later this month, and one has a £1,500 estimate!

Lots 195, 202 and 246 are amongst 400 maritime and scientific models, instruments and art are up for auction through www.charlesmillerltd.com on Tuesday, April 27.

The Doncaster items are from an ex-Bridon Ropes boardroom display at Warmsworth Hall and were still attached to the display board when they were found in the skip.

They are an early 19th Century Cat O’ Nine Tails (estimate £1,000-1,500), a large early 19th century ‘Sailor’s Friend’ (estimate £300-500) used for self-defence and a set of 19th Century Sailmaker’s tools (estimate £150-250).
