Jack Marshall, 17, of Belton was invited to Manchester’s Media City to appear on a special show about inspirational children and teenagers. Jack, of Green Lane, suffers from Moebius Syndrome, which means he is unable to walk unassisted, has difficulty with hearing and is unable to smile.

Over the years he has raised thousands of pounds for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research by undertaking mammoth challenges including climbing Yorkshire’s Three Peaks and taking part in junior runs.

His mum Linda told the Bells: “I cried. Jack had them in stitches. It was an amazing day.”

Jack received a number of gifts including a PS4 and has been invited to Alexandra Palace to watch the world darts with promoter Barry Hearn where he will get to compete against his favourite player Michael Van Gerwin.
