Isle residents asked - do you want to save money on your fuel bills?
North Lincolnshire Council's collective switching scheme will soon be opening again to help people save time and money on their fuels bills by finding you a better deal.
You could save on average around £320 a year if you sign up to the successful scheme!
Since the scheme started in August 2013 it has saved residents a total of over £91,000 on their energy bills.
Don’t miss out on these huge savings. Sign up to the free collective switching scheme and change your energy supplier.
Around 97 per cent of households that have registered for the scheme benefited from savings.
If you want to save money on your fuel bills, register online at www.northlincs.gov.uk/collective-switching.
It is free to register on the scheme. Registration opens on 22 March 2016 and the auction will take place in May 2016.
Collective switching offers households the opportunity to sign-up to a scheme that allows the council to enter an auction with energy companies on their behalf, to secure a discounted energy price.
The scheme is run in partnership with iChoosr Ltd, the UK’s leading provider of collective switching.
Councillor John Briggs, cabinet member for Asset Management, Culture and Housing, said: “The collective switching scheme does all the hard work for people and could save you hundreds of pounds each year. Who wouldn’t want to make savings on their monthly bills? Many people are paying over the odds for their energy and we want to ensure that people have the best deal.
“People can be hesitant when it comes to switching suppliers because they are not sure how to or don’t have time to compare the different tariffs. With collective switching, we do all the work for you; making it safe and easy to switch. The more people that register, the cheaper the bills will be.
“Don’t miss out on this great opportunity, sign up to the collective switching scheme on March 22 and take your first steps towards making savings on your fuel bills.”
You have until May 12 2016 for paper registrations to be returned. The auction will then take place on 17 May, offers will be issued on 27 May and the scheme will close on 27 June.
