Isle alert as woman still not found

Concern is growing for the safety of an elderly woman missing from her East Butterwick home.

The police continue to appeal for information about the whereabouts of Kathleen Preston.

The 82-year old, of High Street, East Butterwick, was last seen by a family member as she prepared for bed at 10pm on Saturday, November 8, at her home address.

She was found to be missing from home at 7am the following morning when family members were unable to contact her.

Kathleen is described as a white woman, of thin build and 5ft tall. She has blue eyes, short hair and a pale complexion and was last seen wearing a peach coloured floral nightgown.

Kathleen is vulnerable due to her age and state of health and is believed to be inappropriately dressed for the time of year.

Local enquiries and searches have failed as yet to locate Kathleen and anyone who may be able to help in any way should call police on 101 quoting log number 197 of 9 November 2014.
