Impressive collection of armoured vehicles at Ashworth Barracks Museum in Doncaster

Armoured vehicles rolling into Ashworth Barracks in Doncaster continues to make its collection of military hardware even more impressive.

Two weeks ago the museum in Cedar Road, took charge of a Saracen vehicle, last week a Russian BDRM2 and a Praga Lizard anti-aircraft arrived and on Thursday, February 25, a CVRT Spartan and a ‘Humber Pig’ will add to the collection.

The fleet of vehicles will be enhanced in the next couple of weeks with a Stalwart and also a rare Green Goddess painted in Northern Ireland colours.

Victoria Cross Trust chairman and museum spokesman, Gary Stapleton, said: “This is an impressive collection that is well worth seeing.”
