Hub to link Rotherham pupils with community

A stunning new '˜outdoor classroom' was opened for use in a Rotherham school by a sporting hero. Retired British Lions and Rotherham Titans rugby star John Bentley was at Kimberworth's Kelford School representing children's rugby charity Wooden Spoon, which funded the Horticulture Hub. The hub includes a covered veranda, special wheelchair facilities, a storage space and a potting shed for students aged 14 to 19. Headteacher Jacky Tattershall said: 'Pupils already sell produce to staff but we hope the veranda will provide a base from which they can gain customers in the community.' Photo: Michael Coghlan
