Firecrews called out twice in 90 minutes in the same Doncaster town to deal with arson incidents

Firefighters were called out to deal with two separate suspected arson attacks within an hour of a half in the same Doncaster town.

A crew from Thorne Fire Station was initially called out after a wheelie bin was deliberately set on fire at 7.40pm on Coulman Road, Thorne, spending 25 minutes on the scene.

Then a crew from the same station was sent out to a deliberate skip fire at 9.10pm on White Lane, Thorne. An electrical box was also involved in the fire. The crew left the scene at 10pm.

They were not the only incidents which fire fighters had to deal with overnight, as crews from Adwick Fire Station also had to go out during the evening.

Adwick firefighters were sent to deal with an accidental fire involving a hedge at 8.35pm on Doncaster Road, Toll Bar, Doncaster.

A spokesman said the crew left the scene at 8.55pm.
