The fancy dress fun will take place in Belton Pavilion and is for a great cause - the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Emma Downing of Misterton organised the event to run from 4pm to 6pm, as a second fundraiser after her son Liam, five, was found to suffer from diabetes.

Last year, Liam did a sponsored swim in Epworth pool to raise £718 for the charity.

Entry to the fancy dress party on saturday will be £2 to include unlimited juice and entry to the fancy dress competition. Other refreshments will be on sale and there will be a bouncy castle, disco, games, and a photographer.

There is also a major raffle with many prizes donated by local businesses.

Emma said: “The aim of the party is first and foremost to raise awareness for the life threatening condition that we and so many others live with day in and day out. And also to raise monay to help ultimately find that cure that we all in the T1 community dream of for our loved ones.”
