Coach Paul Neilson said: “Conner’s at the top of his game right now.

“He’s progressed all the way through from cadet level to youth and now he’s knocking on the door of the seniors.

“He’s boxing well at the moment so he’s very much in contention this weekend.”

Five-time Yorkshire champion Kelsall will fight in the quarter-finals on Friday, at the Magna Centre.

The tournament continues into Saturday and Sunday (weigh in 10am-noon, doors noon, boxing 1pm).

Tickets priced £15 for adults and £5 concessions will be available on the door.
