Gorgeous patches of wildflowers are thriving all over Doncaster this summer as part of an effort to re-wild local natural spaces
and live on Freeview channel 276
Doncaster Council said: “We’re allowing more areas then ever to go from grass verges to wild grown.
"This creates habitats for wildlife, allows plants to set seed and also just looks rather pretty.
"We’ve allowed the grass to grow to encourage pollinators and local wildlife in more than 75 areas across the borough.”
The council’s work planting the wildflowers this May has landed them on the short list for the Keep Britain Tidy awards.
