Five ways to be eco-friendly without using a lot of effort

Going Green can feel like a huge effort.
We’re often bombarded with conflicting advice on how best to save the planet and quite often these changes take extra time, extra money and effort.
Here are my top five tips:
1. Stop mowing the lawn so much!
A lawn needs to be 10-20 cm to allow flowers to appear; dandelions, daisies and buttercups. Stop viewing the flowers as problems and embrace their benefit for pollinating insects.

2. Stop ironing everything!
I acknowledge that your work shirt and the kids’ uniform might need an iron before wearing but the other stuff- does it really need it?
Think through what you’re ironing and hang to dry on a coat hanger or fold / roll to put away.
Save time, electricity and hopefully fewer accidental burns too!
3. Stop washing every mug every time

Save up your pots for one wash if you don’t have a dishwasher.
4. Only use a hair dryer when you must
If you leave your hair to dry naturally and then style with the dryer, you’ll use less electricity and spend less time drying your hair.
Whilst your hair dries naturally you can be doing any number of things instead.
Time and electricity saver.
5. Shave less

Designer stubble, shave what is seen or go completely natural if you dare!
Less time, less foam, less water, fewer nicks and less toll on your skin.
