Woman taken to hospital after falling from Doncaster motorway bridge
A woman was taken to hospital after falling from a Doncaster motorway bridge.
Emergency services were called to the M18 last night over concerns for the safety of a woman, with the police closing the road for several hours.
A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “We were called at 4.56pm yesterday (Monday 23 February) following a report of concern for the safety of a woman on a bridge over the M18 in Doncaster.
“Officers were deployed to the scene to engage with the woman and bring her to safety.

“The M18 was shut in both directions between junctions 2 and 3 to allow emergency services to suitably respond to this incident, with Tickhill Road and Bubup Hill also closed.
“The woman fell from the bridge and was uninjured. She was taken to hospital and is receiving appropriate medical care and support.
“The M18, Tickhill Road and Bubup Hill had reopened by around 8.40pm.”
