Video: Police probe launched as person dies in Doncaster rail station tragedy

Emergency services have been at the scene with police, fire crews and ambulances all in attendance.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: “Officers were called to the line near Doncaster at around 9am today (22 October) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.

Hide Ad"Paramedics also attended, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.


"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances leading up to the death.”
Video shows emergency vehicles outside the railway station on Trafford Way.
The Free Press understands the station is still open with rail services continuing to run, but with some disruption and delays.

A spokesperson for Northern said: “Due to the emergency services dealing with an incident at Doncaster some lines are blocked.
“Train services running through this station will be delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised.”
