Easter comes early at LNER as thousands of tickets go on sale
The rail operator says people can plan their getaways
LNER customers can now plan an early Easter getaway as hundreds of thousands of tickets go on sale for travel between 25 March and 2 April 2027, which includes the Easter weekend.
Journeys for destinations across the almost one thousand-mile LNER route between the Scottish Highlands, North East England, Yorkshire, East Midlands and London have been released more than five months in advance.
Customers can book direct on the LNER website or app to find the best value fares.
David Flesher, Commercial Director at LNER, said: “We’re delighted to be able to offer customers the opportunity to get ahead and plan any Easter extravaganzas extra early this year.
“We know it is a popular time for people to travel.
“Whether it is exploring destinations including Inverness, Edinburgh or Lincoln, visiting family, or taking a city break to the likes of Leeds, London, York or Newcastle, there is something for everyone across the LNER route.
“Our Family Lounges in Edinburgh, York and London are a welcoming place for families to relax before their journeys, and we have First Class Lounges in many stations across our route.
“During their journey, customers can enjoy specially sourced food and drink from local suppliers, with a complimentary menu offering in First, and a selection of refreshments to be purchased through our at-seat service in Standard.”

When booking directly with LNER, there is no fee.
Customers can select their preferred seat and receive live journey alerts both on their mobile and through scanning a QR code at their seats.
Information from the LNER ‘All Onboard’ service now provides travel updates in a variety of languages.
All Onboard is also home to the LNER podcasts ‘Routes’, hosted by Jenni Falconer and the LNER Kids Club.
Customers who sign up to LNER's loyalty scheme, Perks, can receive £5 instant credit for joining, plus 2% credit back on future LNER journeys.
Members can also access exclusive partner offers, rewards, monthly competitions and they can refer a friend.
