Firefighters from Doncaster and Adwick attended the incident at the junction of West End Avenue and Watch House Lane in Bentley just before 7pm on Sunday.
The driver was cut from the car and transported to Northern General Hospital in Sheffield.
No other vehicles were involved.
A spokesman for Yorkshire Ambulance Service said the driver had suspected spinal injuries.
