Doncaster School for Deaf Children celebrates another successful book fair
The event allowed children to select from hundreds of books
Pupils at Doncaster School for Deaf Children have been inspired to discover new stories and authors after a hugely successful visit from Boggledy Books.
The popular book fair returned to the school, giving pupils across all age groups the opportunity to browse and purchase books of their choice throughout the day.

With a wide selection including picture books, novels, factual titles and activity books, there was plenty to capture the imagination of every reader.
Among the most popular choices were the much-loved Bluey books, which proved a hit with primary pupils, while a range of spooky and Halloween-themed titles drew particular interest from secondary pupils.
Staff also enjoyed exploring the collection and selecting books for themselves.
The event was a resounding success, with pupils and staff purchasing more than 120 books over the course of the day.

As a result, Boggledy Books donated 12 free books to the school library, helping to further expand the range of reading materials available to pupils.
Stephanie Fogg, assistant headteacher at Doncaster School for Deaf Children, said: “We were delighted to welcome Boggledy Books back into school and it was wonderful to see just how excited our pupils were to browse the books and choose titles that interested them.
“Seeing children genuinely enthusiastic about reading is incredibly rewarding, and there was a real buzz around the book fair throughout the day.
“Supporting reading for pleasure is a key part of our literacy strategy, and events like this play an important role in helping pupils develop positive reading habits and a lifelong enjoyment of books.
“The fantastic variety on offer meant there was something for everyone, and we are especially pleased that our school library has benefited from the additional books donated following the event.”
The book fair has become a firm favourite in the school calendar, providing pupils with regular opportunities to engage with reading in an enjoyable and accessible way while helping to foster a love of books both in school and at home.
