Doncaster Rovers fans named least rowdy ahead of Sheffield Wednesday derby
The study says the club has one of the region’s safest fanbases
A new study has compared the most and least rowdy fanbases in Yorkshire, with Doncaster Rovers fans coming out as one of the least likely to cause trouble on matchdays.
The research, carried out by AskGamblers ahead of this weekend’s League One battle between Doncaster and Sheffield Wednesday, used a combination of official football fan arrests and banning orders data issued by the UK Home Office from 2019 to 2026 to rank and reveal which of Yorkshire football fanbases have generated the most criminal offences.

Doncaster Rovers and Sheffield Wednesday fans have a combined total of 591 offences since 2019, including 121 arrests and 470 banning orders.
Sheffield Wednesday supporters have faced more offences than Doncaster since 2019, with the Owls fans responsible for 63 arrests and 287 banning orders in the last seven years.
Whereas Rovers supporters faced 58 arrests and 197 banning orders in that same time frame.
