Durham Women’s 4-0 win over second-placed Brighton this lunchtime means top of the table Belles cannot be caught.

Neil Redfearn’s side, who are champions with two games to spare, face Millwall Lionesses this afternoon.

Belles will remain in the second tier next season - the newly-named FA Women’s Championship - after deciding that the new fully professional top flight was out of their reach financially.
