Doncaster residents shocked by unknown noise that sounded "like a bomb" going off
Residents in the Wheatley area of Doncaster have taken to social media to find out the source of a loud bang noise heard earlier today.

Talking in the Wheatley/Wheatley Hills and Clay Lane Facebook group, one person said: “Did anyone hear a loud bang in Wheatley sounded like a bomb went off?”
Responses included: “Yeah heard it twice.”; “I heard first one and it scared the jeebies out of me.”; “it did me too it shook the whole house.”
Suggestions about the source included thunder, and roadworks being carried out on Wheatley Hall Road.
