Doncaster MP joins Pride in Place village litter pick
The MP helped collect ten sacks of rubbish from the streets
A Doncaster MP has joined a Pride in Place litter pick to help keep a part of his constituency tidy.
Lee Pitcher, Labour MP for Doncaster East and the Isle of Axholme took part in the clean -up in Rossington.

He said: “Pride in Place is all about the community coming together to make where we live, work and spend our leisure time even better.
“I recently helped secure £20 million for community projects in Rossington to be spent over the next 10 years.
“So on Saturday, members of the Pride in Place Rossington Board and Rossington, Bawtry and Austerfield Labour Team joined forces with the Keep Rossington Tidy Group on one of their regular litter picks.

“Not only did we collect 10 full sacks of litter, we also took the chance to chat with passers-by about what they would like to see the money spent on in Rossington village.”
“If you want to join volunteers like Gaynor, Dot. Claire and others bright and early on a weekend, the next litter pick will be on Saturday 14 November, meeting at the Market for 9am.
“In an odd way, it’s quite a therapeutic way to start your Saturday. I know you’ll get the warmest of welcomes! Just turn up as equipment is provided.
“Let’s Keep Rossington Tidy!”
