A Doncaster mini market has been crowned the nation’s best for the second year in a row.
Swaran Mini Market, based on Askern Road, Bentley, has achieved national recognition after being awarded the prestigious Consumer’s Choice Award at the Snappy Shopper 2026 Awards—marking its second consecutive win.

Swaran triumphed over more than 2,500 stores across the UK to secure the accolade, which is widely regarded as one of the most sought-after honours of the ceremony.
The award is uniquely determined by the general public, based on customer votes, reviews and feedback.
The store was among 250 of the country’s top independent retailers invited to attend the ceremony, held at Glasgow’s Science Centre, where the award was presented.
Director Hardav Singh described the achievement as one of the proudest moments in the store’s history.
He said: “This is a massive achievement for us and one of the proudest moments for our store.
“Finishing ahead of over 2,500 amazing stores on the platform and winning this national award consecutively for two years running emphasises that the service and hard work we and our staff put into our store doesn’t go unnoticed by our community and customers.”
He added: “With over 5,000 five-star reviews from our customers, we are proud to maintain this level of service, and it is incredibly rewarding to see this recognised with back-to-back awards.”
Snappy Shopper, the platform used by Swaran Mini Market, is a rapid delivery service that allows customers to order products from their local store and have them delivered to their door within 30 to 60 minutes, at the same prices as in-store.
The award highlights the growing importance of community-focused retail and the role of customer satisfaction in shaping success within the rapidly expanding convenience delivery sector.
