Doncaster jail guard who 'prayed to have inmate's babies' is freed early

The 28-year-old has been released

An 'infatuated' Doncaster prison officer who embarked on a secret sexual relationship with a convicted gangster and told him she was praying to have his babies, has been freed from jail early.

Charlotte Winstanley, 28, had an illict three year relationship with violebt inmate Jabhari Blair, 30, at HMP Lindholme.

The shamed ex-guard was jailed in February after admitting misconduct in a public office.

The court heard how the pair arranged secret trysts in locked offices and shared explicit messages, in which Winstanley told him she was “literally praying” to have his baby.

But Winstanley has now been released after serving just six months of her two-and-a-half year sentence at HMP Drake Hall in Staffordshire.

Yet despite being handed a 30-month sentence at Sheffield Crown Court, Winstanley returned to her home in Stainforth last month, The Sun reports.

Announcing her return on social media last month, Winstanley posted on TikTok: “Took a couple months off I’m still good over here though.”

She later uploaded a black-and-white video showing the moment she left prison to be greeted by family and friends, who showered her with confetti.

Alongside the clip, Winstanley wrote: “My sister always told me ‘this too shall pass’ and oh it did.

“You never feel true love and adoration until the day you walk out the gate and restart your life at 28!

“It turns out life really does go on, no matter how much you mess up or how many times you fall down.

“Love conquers all and always will.”

The court was told how she also smuggled in contraband materials for her lover lag, including a mobile phone over which they sent intimate photos and videos.

Prosecutor Aaron Dinnes read out graphic messages between the pair which he said appeared to prove that their relationship was sexual and he told a judge that prison cameras picked up intimate moments of them touching and disappearing together into rooms.

Mr Dinnes said one message from Blair indicated that he "can't wait to give Miss Winstanley a beautiful baby.”

He said a message from the prison officer to the inmate said: "I'm literally praying to have your babies."

Blair was a member of an organised crime group who was jailed for 12-and-a-half years for violence in 2014.
