Doncaster Debenhams set to stay closed when rest of firm's branches re-open

Debenhams has said it will reopen 50 of its stores in England on June 15 as coronavirus restrictions are eased, including 11 stores across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
Since the coronavirus pandemic, the department store has announced the permanent closure of at least 12 stores, with thousands of job losses.

Hide AdDebenhams said preparations for the reopenings are 'well under way', with strict social distancing and hygiene procedures being implemented across all stores.
But the Doncaster Frenchgate Centre store is not on the list of stores due to open on June 15.
A Debenhams spokesman said: “We are delighted to be welcoming customers back to our stores in the coming weeks.
“From the installation of Perspex screens at till points to the roll-out of social distancing procedures and PPE, we have been working hard to ensure our colleagues and customers can work and shop with confidence"

Hide AdIt is understood that further stores across the country will open over the coming weeks. It is not clear if Doncaster is among them at this stage.
From June 15, all shops selling non-essential goods such as clothing and electrical goods will be allowed to re-open.
