Logistics firm Serco, which operates the test centre at Doncaster Sheffield Airport, has confirmed that staff at the site have tested positive after being accused of covering up cases by an insider at the facility.
Yesterday, a source said nine people had tested positive at the site, which operates from a corner of the airport’s car park in a sealed and secure compound.

A spokesman said: “Two members of staff working at the Doncaster test site tested positive for COVID two weeks ago.
"All members of the team they work with were immediately tested and they all returned negative results.
"At all sites that we operate, our teams follow the strict protocols set out by the Department of Health and Social Care including social distancing, use of PPE and sanitisation.

The source, who declined to be named, said cases were being kept under wraps from the public by Serco, the Government’s security and logistics firm.
They said: "No deep cleaning, no announcements to the public, nothing."
The site employs more than 100 people who are employed to carry out coronavirus tests.
Those with symptoms book online and staff then guide people through the testing process with motorists staying in their cars and performing the tests themselves.
