Doncaster clothing boutique bounces back just weeks after closing
The boutique closed its doors earlier this year
A popular Doncaster fashion boutique has re-opened with a new name and new look just weeks after closing down in its last incarnation.
Sarah at Harpers in Carr House Road bounced back on Saturday, following its closure as Harpers Couture in July.
Owner Sarah Cummins said: “A huge thank you to every single person who came along and supported us on our opening day.
“I am completely overwhelmed by the love, kindness, encouragement and support I’ve received.
“Seeing so many familiar faces, meeting new customers, hearing your lovely comments and watching everything I’ve worked so hard for finally come to life made today so incredibly special.
“Opening this business has taken so much time, planning, hard work and heart, and having so many of you walk through the doors on day one honestly meant more to me than i can put into words.
“This was only the beginning, and I’m so excited for what’s ahead. I feel incredibly lucky to have such wonderful people supporting me, and we cannot wait to welcome you all back again.”
In July she said: “We have made the difficult decision to close the doors of Harper’s Couture.
“What started as a rail in a bedroom became something so much more because of you.
“Thank you for supporting our small business, trusting us with your special occasions, and allowing us to be part of so many wonderful memories.
“From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of the Harper’s Couture story.”
“I’m going to take a little time to breathe, rest and gather the strength to start again.
“Because I will start again.I fully intend to have a premises again as soon as I possibly can, because I know how important it is for you all to be able to touch, feel and try on the clothes—and honestly, I love that experience just as much as you do.
“Thank you for every purchase, every message, every visit, every hug, every laugh and every bit of support over the last seven years.
“This isn’t goodbye… it’s just the end of one chapter and the beginning of another.”
