A determined duo are set to have fun in the sun and raise cash for a cancer charity at the same time – by driving from South Yorkshire to Benidorm
A determined duo are set to have fun in the sun and raise cash for a cancer charity at the same time – by driving from South Yorkshire to Benidorm.
Thomas and Billi-Jo Edwards will be travelling from Wath to the Spanish seaside resort later this year as part of a rally called British Bangers.
The duo will be among a number of teams taking part in the journey which will pass through the UK, France and Spain before arriving at the city in Alicante.

Explained Billi-Jo: “Both me and my husband have family members suffering with cancer, with my father in law unfortunately terminal, my mother recovering from breast cancer, my cousin of only ten years old about to lose her sight due to an unsuccessful stem cell operation and myself being clear from cervical cancer 10 years now.
“I am sure many others have been affected too which is why we would like your support by donating.
“We are travelling from Wath to Benidorm from May 3-8 with British Bangers.
"We’ll take on a five-day drive across Europe, covering hundreds of miles to support a charity that means so much to us, in our vehicle, designed as the TY Beanie Baby Vegas The Zebra as a tribute for my daughter who loves these and has collected them in her childhood.
“The mascot will be with us too and photos taken at each location along the way
“Please follow our adventure as we make our way across Europe and back to the UK — all while raising vital funds for this incredible cause.

The trip is being made possible via donations and support from sponsors BDSS Ltd, Timber Warehouse, TLS Group, RPH Group, Crystals By Gina, Kilnhurst Tyres, B-Strong, Larkins Automotive, Stripped Parts and Kayne Travel
Billi-Jo decorated the car by herself and the pair have already raised £2,000 for Macmillan Cancer.
