The crew from Adwick Fire Station were dispatched to a site in Parkgate, Rotherham, after the animal had got its head stuck between two of the bars in the railings, early this morning.

Using special equipment, the crew managed to spread the railings apart far enough for the deer to free its head, near the McDonalds at the site.

The Adwick crew are specially trained in animal rescue.
