Woman suffers 'potentially life-threatening' injuries after Doncaster collision

A woman is in hospital with ‘potentially life-threatening' injuries after a ollision in Doncaster town centre yesterday (March 12).

At around 7.45pm yesterday evening, a 40-year-old woman walked out onto the pedestrian crossing on Trafford Way, Doncaster, at the bottom of the pedestrianised area of Frenchgate.

While she was on the crossing, it is reported that she was in collision with a black Audi A3, and subsequently fell into the path of a silver Mercedes A-Class.

The pedestrian suffered head injuries and is currently receiving treatment at the Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield, where her condition is described as potentially life-threatening.

The drivers of both vehicles were both uninjured.

Officers are now asking for anybody who witnessed the collision to get in touch.

They are also interested in hearing from anybody who may have seen either vehicle prior to the collision occurring.
