Woman killed in head-on collision in Doncaster

The 63-year-old, who has not yet been named, was driving a green Honda Civic which was involved in a collision with a red Toyota Rav4 on Doncaster Road, between Barnby Dun and Stainforth, at 5.20pm on Tuesday, December 10.

The Honda was travelling from Barnby Dun towards Stainforth and the Toyota Rav4 was travelling in the opposite direction.

The Honda driver, from Doncaster, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 69-year-old driver of the Toyota, a man also from Doncaster, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he remains today.

South Yorkshire Police said: “Both families are currently being supported by specially trained officers as our enquiries continue.”

Witnessed the collision, especially anyone with dash cam footage, should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 and quote incident 655 of December 10.
