Vandals target Doncaster village school on same night as £5,000 attack on cricket club

Vandals have struck at a Doncaster primary school on the same day £5,000 of damage was caused to a cricket club in the same village.

Warmsworth Primary School on Mill Lane was hit on Monday night and a school spokesman said: “Unfortunately we suffered a significant amount of vandalism around the school last night. Please could we ask our neighbours and parents to stay vigilant and keep our school safe for our children.”

The attack on the Mill Lane school came on the same night as £5,000 worth of damage being caused at nearby Warmsworth Cricket Club in Common Lane.

Equipment was smashed and fixtures and fittings destroyed in the attack on the cricket club, and among the items smashed was a life saving defibrillator.

Now police in Doncaster have urged anyone with information about the attacks to come forward with information
