Two more men arrested in the Robert Dyson murder inquiry

Detectives investigating the disappearance of Barnsley man Richard Dyson have made two further arrests this morning (Wednesday, March 17).

The men, aged 43 and 51, both from Barnsley have been arrested on suspicion of murder and burglary, and remain in custody.A missing person inquiry has been running since 58-year-old Richard Dyson’s disappearance in November 2019. Following extensive enquiries to locate Richard, the investigation team now believe that he may have been killed.

Richard was last seen by his 20-year-old daughter on Friday 15 November 2019. But after he missed their next arranged meeting, she reported him missing on November 25.An investigation established Richard was last seen on November 17 at 11pm on the A6135 Sheffield Road, Hoyland.

On March 10 two men – a 67 and a 68-year-old from Rotherham were arrested on suspicion of murder before being released on bail.
