Tributes have been paid to a Doncaster man whose death triggered a murder probe in the town.

Leighton Owen, aged 39, was found dead in a flat in Hatfield House, Grove Place, Balby, just after 11pm on Wednesday, August 26.

Two women, aged 45 and 40, and a 21-year-old man, were arrested on suspicion of murder and released under investigation as enquiries continue.

A post-mortem examination proved inconclusive and further tests are underway to determine the exact cause of Mr Owen's death.

Paying tribute on Facebook, one woman, Kathy, wrote: “RIP Leighton, you was such a lovely lad.”

Sarah Robinson added: “RIP Leighton, you'll be missed.”

Paying tribute, Aaliyah Loosemore said: “RIP Leighton, you’ll be missed very muchly.”

Paying her tribute, Chelle Loosemore added: “Rest in peace Leighton...love you for eternity.”
