Teenager arrested on attempted murder charge after Doncaster gym machete attack

A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a machete attack at a Doncaster boxing gym.

Police seized the 18-year-old yesterday following the incident at the TG Boxing Gym in Skellow last Thursday night.

Officers were called at 6.53pm on Thursday following reports that a gang had entered the club, carrying machetes and attacked two men.

Emergency services attended and the two victims were taken to hospital with serious injuries, they remain in hospital at this time.

Yesterday officers arrested an 18-year-old Doncaster man on suspicion of attempted murder, he is currently in police custody, a spokesman said.

The area around the club on Skellow Road was locked down following the incident.

Enquiries are continuing following the incident and anyone with information is urged to call 101, quoting incident number 838 of 17 June.
