Police officers alerted to the disturbance found Ms Morris with a serious head injury and she was taken to hospital for treatment but died three days later.

Two men, aged 47 and 33, and a 24-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of assault and bailed.

Tributes have been paid to Ms Morris after she was named by South Yorkshire Police yesterday.

Posting on Facebook, Lynn Ryan said: “Such a waste of a beautiful person’s life.”

Andrew Mundin said Ms Morris was ‘such a lovely lass who would always take time to have a chat’.

Julie Kellock added: “I have so many memories of us when we were kids.”

Jimmy Davies described Ms Morris as ‘such a wonderful lady’.
