Stolen car recovered following police chase after being spotted in Doncaster last night

Police spotted the car in Balby and followed it after it fled, later discovering it had been stolen from the Humberside Police area.

A spokesman for South Yorkshire Police Operational Support said: “This vehicle was sighted in Balby just after midnight and as it's back end sank to the floor upon seeing the marked cars we assumed it didn't want to stop to chat!

“A short pursuit around the area ensued before it was abandoned, unfortunately just out of our sight at that time. The driver made good their escape but the vehicle will be spending some time with our CSI wizards as it transpired to be a stolen vehicle from just over the border in Humberside.”
