Detectives investigating a serious attack with a bat have released a picture of a man they want to speak to over their enquiries

Officers looking into the alleged assault in the Conisbrough released a CCTV picture of a man they believe can help them.

Emergency services were called out around 9.30pm on Thursday March 19 after some a 35-year-old man was found with serious injuries on Ivanhoe Road.

It is understood the 35-year-old was walking home when he was assaulted by a group of men. It is believed a bat was used, causing serious facial injuries requiring hospital treatment.

Officers believe the man in the picture could hold vital information and are appealing for him, or anyone who recognises him, to get in touch.
