Police seal off Doncaster street after pedestrian is killed in collision with car

An investigation is under way after a man was killed in a collision with a car in Doncaster.

The collision on Carr House Road was reported to emergency services just before 6pm yesterday.

It involved a red Peugeot 207 and a 65-year-old pedestrian, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

South Yorkshire Police said: “Officers received a call just before 6pm last night for reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian.

“It is believed that a red Peugeot 207 collided with a 65 year-old man on Carr House Road in Doncaster.

“Yorkshire Ambulance Service attended but the man was sadly pronounced dead.

“The man's family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.

“The driver of the Peugeot remained on scene and is assisting officers with their enquiries.”
