Police release CCTV of gang of eight men after attempted break-in at Doncaster house

Police are hunting a gang of eight men who left the occupants of a Doncaster home ‘extremely shaken’ after an attempted burglary.

Officers have released CCTV footage of men they would like to speak to in connection with the incident in Cadeby Lane, Denaby Main on Thursday 1 April.

It is reported that the complainant was woken around 11.30pm by her daughter stating there had been a man inside the property.

Shortly after, it was discovered that the rear door to the house had been damaged and it appeared people had been inside.

Since the incident occurred, extensive enquiries have taken place to locate those responsible, and police are now asking for your help.

CCTV footage shows eight people surrounding the property, all believed to be men aged 18 to 30 years old.

DC Nicola Blewitt, leading the investigation said: “This is a really disturbing incident, that has left the occupants extremely shaken. Thankfully, they were not injured and nothing appears to have been stolen.

“I am keen to hear from anybody who may know who the men are in the footage, particularly the two men in the forefront of the footage who are not wearing face coverings, as they may hold information that can assist with our enquiries.”
