Officers have arrested a 35-year-old man and 27-year-old man on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter following the 12-day-old baby’s death on Sunday after he was savaged by a dog at an address in Welfare Road, Woodlands.

Earlier today, the baby was named locally as Elon in national newspaper reports.

Emergency services were called to the house at around 3.30pm on Sunday after receiving reports that the child had been attacked by the dog, understood to be a Chow Chow crossbreed called Teddy.
