Police have launched a fresh appeal to find a man who went on the run from a Doncaster prison nine months ago.

John Elliott absconded from HMP Hatfield in October last year.

The 41-year-old was serving a three year sentence for burglary when he fled the open prison.

He absconded on October 11 last year and has failed to return, with police since launching a number of appeals to track him down.

Elliot is described as having a medium build with greying hair and a beard. He is believed to have links to Bradford and the wider West Yorkshire area.
