Police dogs hunt down and detain criminals in two Doncaster incidents

Belgian Malinois PD Luna was put into action after police pursuid a vehicle on Friday which ended up with the driver abandoning his vehicle near to the Amazon depot, choosing to try his luck on foot.

A spokesman said: “Big mistake! Didn’t take Luna long to catch and detain the 37-year-old man for handler Matt to arrest him for theft of vehicle, disqualified driving and recall to prison. Nice one Luna.”

On Sunday officers were in pursuit of a vehicle which they suspected to be involved in an aggravated burglary in Doncaster.

This ended with handler Daz sending PD Vespa to chase down one of the occupants and detaining him to be arrested.

There was also a further incident in Sheffield which saw PD Vinny capture a man who was involved in the theft of a car in a burglary.
