Police confirm M18 motorway and A63 Doncaster Road closed for concern of a man's safety

Following road closures on Saturday evening we have now received confirmation of the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The northbound M18 motorway between junctions three and four, and the A63 Doncaster Road were closed at around 8pm.
A spokesman for South Yorkshire Police said: “It was a concern for welfare for a man on the bridge.”
